Ok, so you all will have to humor me. One of my new year's resolution is to keep our blog updated, but I have to play catch up first. :) So here is a blast from the past.
Ok how did you get the easter pics on the site. They adorable I might add. Brandons outfit is so so sooooo darling. You've always been the most computer savy out of the whole family. So maybe you can help be out. I want to have pictures archived each week. So when you pull up the blog you only see the current weeks postings. Then if you want to see previous you click on that week's link. Kinda like a folder system you know. Anyway--this has caused me some major grief and I will admit I have yelled at the computer and even wanted to take a hammer to it :). I don't quite understand the whole program yet. I too have spent many hours posting just one, yes you heard right--one posting. :) When I would post it wasn't saving the format. So some words were cut off. Pictures here or there. Then I would accidently delete the picture so I would have to upload it again. Basically, that night I was ticked. :) So if you have any insights I'd love to hear :)
Matt is working on his MBA from the University of Notre Dame---Go Irish! He is also very excited about his new job as a Weeblos leader for cub scouts.
Janaye is keeping busy trying to keep 4 kids busy and the chaos to a manageable level.
Emma is 9 and just started ballet lessons and is hopeful she will be in a Nutcracker performance next Christmas. She also loves reading adventure books and playing the Wii with her brother.
Brandon is 7 and is doing great in first grade. He just discovered the Magic Tree House books and thinks they are pretty neat. He loves playing Wii with anyone and everyone and is excited for soccer to start this spring.
Caitlyn is 6 and definitely thinks kindergarten should be all day---she can't wait to eat lunch there like the big kids (if she only knew right?). She also started ballet lessons and loves listening to music and playing her guitar.
Parker is 2 (already?) and so far not so terrible (I probably just jinxed myself---I totally did. This week in church the little monster in him came out as he made a mad dash for the stand during sacrament meeting....oh boy, here we go!). He absolutely loves Diego, carrying around his "guys" (little action figures), singing, and playing/wrestling with his older brother and sisters.
Here are some funnies the kids have said recently:
As we are driving past the cemetery on the ND campus Parkers asks me, "Mom, when I die am I going to be a statue?"
Parker to Dad: I want to be a robot when I grow up so I can kill people. (so proud...)
Parker to Dad, after he had asked mom for help numerous times and been told numerous times just a minute: "I have free (3) words for you (holds up his fingers as he lists them) juice, clothes, Diego."
Parker to me after I tucked him into bed and was doing a little straightening up, "Mom, can you please leave my room." Yeah, he is 3...we might be in trouble.
Caitlyn at dinner: "What does bacon taste like?"
Emma: "It tastes like pigs."
Parker (after he takes a bite of bacon): "Mmmm...yep tastes like pigs!"
