Summer Kick Off

The kids and I got to spend a couple of weeks in Utah visiting friends and family. And what a better way to kick off the summer fun than taking a train ride to the splash fountain. And I must say it was definitely an adventure. We were running late (as usual) and just jumped on the train before it was shutting it's doors. Paigely didn't think everyone made it on so she was trying to look out the door and see, but the doors kept closing. Poor thing almost got her head shut in the doors, which was definitely a little traumatic. In fact, Emma now has a phobia of elevator doors closing on her. But, once e got to the water park it was all good.

Play Ball

Baseball season started again this year and Brandon landed on the Dodgers team. He did awesome and was so very excited because it was coach pitch this year and they were even learning how to do a little sliding (which Brandon did every chance he got, whether he needed to or not).

The beloved trophy---makes all those practices and games worth it.
Good hit bud!

Just fielding the ball.

...And he slides...

Happy Birthday, Emma! We celebrated her 9th birthday this year with just our little family. Emma got to open presents and we had brownies and ice cream. Luckily for me, cuz I am not the best cake decorator, my kids don't really like cake. So they always pick other fun treats like brownies or doughnuts, and as long as I can put a candle in it, perfect. We can't believe how fast our little girl has grown up! We love you, Em!

It's a Classic

I think one of the best perks of being a mom is getting to dress your kids however you want, and I just couldn't resist this bowtie. There is just something so adorable about a little boy in a bowtie.
