Cabin Fever
Just for fun and so everyone could stay together, Grandma and Grandpa Jensen rented out a condo/cabin up at Pineview Dam. The kids had a blast getting to have a sleepover all together, and basically just spending time together. Activities included, but were not limited to visiting friends, boating, movies, playing in the sand, and swimming. Here are some pictures of our little stay.

I Love to See the Temple
While we were in Utah, Haylie went to the Bountiful Temple for the first time. When I was reading her facebook page she made a good observation that it was the first time all 6 of my mom and dad's kids were together in the temple. It was a special day and we are so glad we got to share it with her. Thanks tons to Uncle Alan and Aunt Melissa for babysitting. :)

Water Fight!
What's summer without a little water fight? Aunt Jamie came over for and ended up getting in a water fight with Matt. Actually all the kids were in on it and I am just glad I was on camera duty, so I was safe.

Priceless
I love this picture and video of Brandon playing ball with Grandpa Blaine. When we lived in Utah he would look forward to going to visit Grandma and Grandpa almost every Sunday. Grandpa always told Brandon he was the best baseball player ever. We miss you Grandma and Grandpa!

Happy Birthday, Grandpa Blaine!
For Grandpa Blaine's birthday this year, we had a swimming party at Uncle Robert and Aunt Kathy's house. Here are some clips of the kids doing tricks off the diving board.

Happy Father's Day! (and Emma's "real birthday.")
This year Father's Day happened to fall on June 15th--Emma's Birthday. We went to church and spent the afternoon at grandma and grandpa Jensen's house. Both dads got Cub attire and a ticket to go to a game together. It's a guy thing right?Grandma made another cake for Emma on her real birthday.

Happy Birthday, Emma!
Emma turned 8 this year and at our house that is one of the lucky birthday years---a year for a friend party. Emma invited friends from church, school and our neighborhood to come to our house for ice cream cake and presents and then it was off to the Justice store for a webkinz party. The girls all got mini makovers and then got to play some webkinz games including the wheel of W.O.W. They each won some Kinz cash they got to go shopping with in the store at the end. I think they all had a great time!

Say What?
OK, so I know we haven't posted for a while, more like all summer, and we have a lot of catching up to do, but today my kids said the funniest things and we just had to write them down.
1. At dinner as Caitlyn was eating her piece of bread with half a cube of butter that she oh so carefully spread by herself: "Mmm, this butter sure is good."
2. We are trying to work on showing our gratitude at our house this week and as Brandon is helping his Dad unload the diswasher he very thoughtfully thanks him for the treat Matt brought home for all the kids from Hershey, Pennsylvania: "Hey dad, thanks for my reeses penis butter cups." (reeses peanut butter cups)
3. As Emma is getting in the tub after her horseback riding lesson: "Do I have to use soap."
I don't know if anyone else thinks these are funny, but I am just giggling as I am writing them. Granted I have been a little sleep deprived lately, but these all happened within hours of each other, so random. :)

And the winner is....
So everyone who guessed New York (I think only Aunt Gyla), gets the prize. Haylie got her mission call to the Rochester New York Mission. She reports to the MTC on August 6th. After two farewells, one in Utah and one in Chicago, I think she is excited and ready to get going. We are going to miss her, but are so proud and excited for her---every time Caitlyn says her prayers she prays that Haylie can go on her mission. Check out the link to her blog for any fun updates, pictures and new addresses.
